Specially formulated Nylon 66 by the addition of controlled quantities of Molybdenum Disulphide (MOS2) shows greatly improved self lubricating properties against unfilled Nylon 66. Nylatron GS sliding against steel would show between 0.25 and 0.30 coefficient of friction as opposed to 0.30 – 0.40 for unfilled Nylon 66. Maximum working temperature is between 95°C and 100°C compared with 85°C and 90°C for Nylon 66.
